A history on my knitting experience

So, I was thinking about when I first got introduced to knitting. And I forgot that when I was in my "pre-teen" years I thought it would be cool to knit. I always loved little things like that. You know, "Crotch-stitching" (I'll explain, don't get offended and leave!) and things like that.

** Side note on the above comment: My mom used to CROSS STITCH (yes I know what its really called) all the time, and I wanted to learn one year and I used to pronounce it incorrectly when I was little, calling it Crotch stitching. Mom told me she wouldn't teach me how to do it unless I started to say it right. LOL. Oh my, kids really do say the darndest things! haha **

So anyway, I was thinking about how fun it would be to knit. SO i went to walmart with mom and bought a teach yourself to knit book. I bought the cheapest metal needles and the cheapest yarn and attempted to make something resembling a bag. I still have it and now I am a "REAL" knitter I think I should post that sad creation on my site if I can find it! What do you think??

Anyway, a couple years ago my friend Sherri told me to come in and check out the yarn corner. I did. I got hooked. I bought the basics and made a scarf. Then I made a purse. Then I made a better purse.... I started my first pair of socks a few months in and got scared and discouraged. I set it aside. When I got back from Haiti I decided I wanted to finish what I started. So I picked it up. And now, it's like a good book that I can't put down! It's awesome!!!

Thats all for now. I'll talk more later :)
